Sunway University’s journey began in 1987 when Sunway College was established in Bandar Sunway, Selangor, on a 22-acre campus. In 2004, the Malaysian Ministry of Education upgraded the institution to Sunway University College. A historic milestone arrived on 13 January 2011, when the Ministry of Higher Education granted full university status, and Sunway University was officially born.
